JSTU and SUST Undergraduate Admission 2013-14, www.jstu.edu.bd, www.sust.edu. Jessore Science & Technology University (JSTU) and  Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) Undergraduate Admission 2013-14, www.jstu.edu.bd, www.sust.edu has been published both university jointly. Application process will be started from 1st Octber, 2013 and it will continue up-to 25th October, 2013.

For the first time Jessore Science & Technology University (JSTU) & Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) are agreed to take combined undergraduate admission test on 30-Nov-2013.

Quota

In SUST, a total 63 additional seats are reserved only for the students under the three categories: son/daughter of Freedom Fighter (25 seats), Indigenous (25 seats) and Disabled (13 seats) and in JSTU, a total 42 additional seats are reserved only for the students under the three categories: son/daughter of Freedom Fighter (30 seats), Indigenous (6 seats) and Disabled (6 seats). For these reserved seats, a student has to upload their related certificate to the admission website (http://www.sust.edu/admission or http://www.jstu.edu.bd) by October 25, 2013. Once the certificate is received within the mentioned period, after verification the student will be considered for the reserved seats.

Moreover, students awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal by International Math Olympiad / International Informatics Olympiad / International Physics Olympiad or any other International Olympiad will have the opportunity to get enroll to their desired subject in any one of the both university without admission test.

Eligibility

  1. Only students passed  in the H.S.C (General/Technical)/Alim/Diploma in Commerce/Diploma in Engineering/Equivalent in 2012/2013 and in the S.S.C (General/Technical)/Dakhil/Equivalent in 2010/2011 can participate in the admission test. Also, student passed from Diploma in Engineering must have passed in S.S.C/Equivalent in 2008/2009. Student from science in H.S.C/Equivalent can apply in both A and B unit and others can apply only in A unit. A student must have the following minimum and total GPA requirements in S.S.C & H.S.C :

  2. G.C.E O level must have B grade atleast in 3 subjects and pass in atleast 5 subjects and A level must have B grade in atleast 2 courses and pass in at least 3 courses.

To get admitted in a department one student must have atleast 3.5 in H.S.C/Equivalent or B grade in G.C.E A level in the required subjects.

To registration for admission test, you have to send your H.S.C information from a TeleTalk prepaid mobile phone within 1 October 2013 to 25 October 2013 through sms.

Question Format

Question paper will be given in Bangla. If any candidate wants to have question in English he/she has to notify within 25 October 2013.

Examination Procedure

Examination will be completely held in MCQ system. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.  OMR Form should be filled using Black ball point pen.

Candidate Selection & Admission Procedure

  • Different merit lists will be prepared for each group (Group 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5) of A and B unit. Out of 100 marks in merit list 70% marks will be from the admission test and 30% marks will be from S.S.C/Equivalent and H.S.C/Equivalent examination.
  • Regular students will have their S.S.C and H.S.C result prepared by multiplying S.S.C and H.S.C grade by 3. For irregular students it will be multiplied by 2.7
  • Marks obtained in drawing & general knowledge exam will be added to the marks of compulsory exam and separate merit list for architecture department will be prepared. An applicant must have at least 40% marks in the drawing exam to be admitted in architecture department.
  • Students from Humanities & Commerce must get 50 percent marks in General Math in admission test to get admitted in Economics department. An applicant must get 50 percent marks in English in admission test to get admitted in English department.
  • Result of Admission Test and other informations about admission will be published in university notice board and website (www.sust.edu/admission & www.jstu.edu.bd) in due time. Students can also get this informations using mobile phone. One student will be admitted in one department according to the merit list, subjectwise eligibility and available seats.
  • Applicants interested in Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) must sit for a physical fitness test related to sports following the admission test at JSTU. In that case, the selection for physical fitness test will be made from the total obtained marks in admission test and from the awarded National / International certificates / medals (university will decide). Later on, the final list will be made from the total obtained marks from the admission test, the awarded National / International certificates / medals and physical fitness test and will be published from JSTU.
  • Student should bring 4 recently taken passport size photographs, main marksheet of S.S.C/equivalent and H.S.C/equivalent and required money for admission. Students must also bring 2 attested photocopies of each transcript and marksheet. Students have to submit his/her main marksheet of H.S.C after admission.
  • The application will be canceled for providing incorrect, incomplete or false information.
